what will be expected cutoff in gate 2011 mechanical engg paper for obc candidates? my score will be 31 , will i hv a chance to get iit,nit,or colleges like dce(delhi college f engg)? pls reply.......

yes u have a chance to get iit,nit,or colleges like dce(delhi college f engg
in 2010 cutoff is 32 mks
this time 2011 it will be around 35 mks.
best of luck.

the cut off for ME OBC will be between 19 to 21...there will very little chance to get into iit,but there is a good chance to get into nit..

IIT and NIIT is tpical but choice is open just wait for the result...

Expected cutoff is around 31 +5 can also be possible but in the more safer side will be 31 most probably

Its difficult to say the exact cut-off, because it depends on-

1. The total number of students appeared and

2. The average marks obtained by the students

However an approx cut-off can be guessed.

This year mechanical gate 2011 (held on 13th feb 2011) paper was very simple compare to previous year question papers. Last year cut-off was 21 for OBC, no doubt this year cut-off will be more than 21 near about 23-24.

You are qualified in the examination but

the chances to get NIT's and IIT's are very less.

as you're an Obc candidate.

you might a good college like

Delhi college of Engineering.

give a try to all the good colleges

take mock counselling some good websites

or if you're not satisfied with your college then give a try next year.

hii, with your marks of 31 its not posssible for iits, Nits , you can surely try in good colleges of vtu and DU.

hii, you will get a rank from 4000 to 12000 ,
try in vtu colleges.
