this year the gate exam is being conducted by iit madras and hence you could expect the paper to be tough,
concentrate on the important topics,to get an good rank you need not answer all the questions,just prepare for the most important topics,'
also try to score good mark in maths and aptitude

As the exam is very near you focus on the subjects which you are strong at and look at the syllabus dont look for the unnecessary.

Prepare well and do mock exams.

work out the previous year questions as it is all about negative marks when you attempt wrong answers.

Some of the tips for the GATE exam are:

1. Keep your concepts up to date and on your finger tips. You should be able to explain any topic of your B Tech.

2. Practice numerical's, the important ones, and specially the one's given in the last 10 years papers of GATE.

3. Observe the pattern and do the topics more which has got more weightage, or from which questions comes more often.

4. Feel your strength, and forget about the competition. You are just there, to do your paper and give it the best.

5. Dream big. Dream success. Then only would you be able to make your mark.
