Well, here is a prediction table which I found. These cutoffs are not accurate. There may be some +/- error. But I hope it will give you come idea.

It cant be exactly tell.
Every institute have fixed their own cut-off-marks.
Its varies from college to college.
For IITs it is maximam.

Hi,

There is no particular cut off marks for GATE ECE. But normally, according to the previous year, to qualify for counselling, one must get at least 25 marks.
So, you need minimum of 25 score.
If you want to get IIT, you need to score above 45.

This year ece gate paper was tough than the previous year paper. so, cut-off this time should be approx 20 (previous year it was 25) for general students and approx 14 (previously 16) for sc and others.

there are a total 65 questions carrying 100 marks.questions Q.1 to Q.25 carry 1-mark for each,and questions Q.26-Q.55 carry 2-marks each.Questions Q.56-Q.65 belongs to General Aptitude.questions Q.56-Q.60 carry 1-mark each,and quetions Q.61-Q.65 carry 2-marks each.
unattempted questions will result in zero mark and wrong answers will results in negative marks.
For Q.1-Q.25 and Q.56-Q.60,1/3mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
For Q.26-Q.51 and Q.61-Q.65,2/3mark will be deducted for each wrong answers.
there is no negative marking for question Q.53 andQ.55.

As this year question paper of ece gate was tough than previous year, cut-off should be low that that of prevous year( last year it was 25 for general and 16 for others).this year cut-off should be approx 21 for general and 14 for others.

Well if you have written well this time you will get a good rank,at least for a good rank try to get above 50.

the cut off mark usually depends year to year according to the marks.

For this year the question was little bit easy so that the cut off may be high too.

See, GATE cut off for ECE varied year to year .

last year cut off was 25 for general candidate.

so this year we can expected cut off will be +-25.

now we can see it in 15th March.

But for OBC and SC/ST there will be some relaxation.
