Cutoff percentage required in 12th UP Board to join Indian Air Force?
Dear Sir/Madam, I am preparing for the Board exam from UP Board of 12th standard. I am a Science student and willing to join Indian Air Force. I want to know what percentage I have to acquire in my 12th Board exam so that I can join Indian Air Force?

As you are in 12th standard, so you can apply for NDA Exam to join Indian Air Force.
There is no such percentage required in 12th to be eligible for NDA Exam. However, you must have passed in all subjects to be eligible for NDA Exam. There will be two stages to crack NDA Exam:

Being a student of Class 12th, you can join Indian Air force as a commissioned officer as well as airmen after completion of your Class 12th as per the educational requirement for these services.
* For joining as a commissioned officer, you are required to qualify NDA entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year. Further, for joining Indian Air force through NDA, you need to have pursued Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level and there is no minimum percentage of marks required for appearing in NDA entrance examination. * For joining as a airmen, you are required to have completed your Class 12th with at least 50% marks. Also, for joining Airmen X Group, you must have studied Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level. So, being a student of Class 12th in Science stream, you just need to secure at least 50% marks in your Class 12th in order to be eligible for all available entries in Indian Air force after class 12th. You just need to have passing percentage of marks in 12th board examination to apply for Indian Air Force exam called National Defence Academy. The minimum academic qualification required is 12th passed with Mathematics and Physics. Only unmarried male Indian citizens can apply.
The age criteria is 16.5 to 19.5 years. There are two stages of this exam. First stage is written test and second stage is Service Selection board. |

No specific percentage criteria in 12th standard is required to join Indian Air Force. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics subjects from a Government recognised board and unmarried male candidates who are in the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years are eligible to apply for NDA examination for joining in Indian Air Force.

Indian Air Force recruitment at senior secondary level is done through National Defence Academy entrance exam which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
The eligibility criteria to apply for NDA examination: 1. You should have passed 12th or appearing for board examination with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board. 2. The age criteria is 16.5 to 19.5 years. 3. Only unmarried male Indian citizens can apply. If you have passed 12th then you can apply for NDA for Indian Air Force. |

The eligibility criteria for NDA is Candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCM from a recognized board. Candidate age lie between 16.5 to 19.5 years. You can join Indian Air Force as an officer or clerk after 12th qualification.
Candidates have to appear and qualify in NDA examination for recruitment as an officer. Examination is conducted twice in a year. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. Candidate must have passed 12th in Physics and Mathematics. Air Force conduct recruitment examination for selection in Group X and Y. The minimum required aggregate is 50% in board and minimum 50% in English. So, if you have the minimum required qualification then you are eligible for both the recruitment. |

Air Force conducts recruitment examination for selection in Indian Air Force in Grade X and Y.
The required minimum qualification is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board and age limit is minimum 18 years. The minimum required aggregate is 50%. So, if you have scored more than 50% then you are eligible to appear in the examination. For more information read the newspaper or magazine. |

Those who have passed 12th from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics can apply for NDA examination. The cut off percentage of marks is 40% that is passing percentage in board exam of 12th. The age criteria is 16.5 to 19.5 years. |

The required percentage criteria in 12th to join Air Force should be at least 60% aggregate if you belong to general category.
But you are under OBC/SC/ST then you must have 55% aggregate in 10+2 from a recognized board. |

There are three wings of Defence:
Indian Army. Indian Navy. Indian Air Force. You can get into these wings through NDA exam. UPSC conducts NDA exam twice every year. If you are 12th passed with Physics and Mathematics then you can apply for NDA exam which means passing percentage is cut off for NDA exam. Age criteria is 16.5 to 19.5 years. |
