is the digree from cmj university equivalent to the digree from calcutta university?

CMJ University is a private university in Shillong, Meghalaya. This university was created through state Act in 2008 and is first private university in this state. This university has affiliation and approval from University Grants commission and is empowered to give diploma, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree as per section 22 of UGC Act 1956.

So, any degree obtained from this university is valid for higher study courses as well as government job exams. The degree obtained is equivalent to any degree obtained from any university of India either it is Calcutta or Pune university.
