my daughter is doing her 11th commerce right now,if i want her to do a degree course in filmmaking and editing,can she do it directly after 12th or does she have to finish graduation.
kindly guide me as to what is the best option to contiue ?

YOU WANT TO JOIN YOUR CHILD IN FILM-MAKING AND EDITING COUSE IN DEGREE..OKAY,AFTER COMPLETION OF HER +2 ..YOU CAN MAKE JOIN HER IN THE COURSES..BUT..I THINK,IT IS NOT COMPULASORY TO HAVE +2 ...DIRCTLY AFTER SSC..WE CAN JOIN THOSE COUSES..AS THESE ARA SUBJECT-ORIENTED...MULTIMEDIA,FASHION-DESIGNING...etc...these they do not any courses any more qualification other than ssc...

ya u can join it even after plus 2 exams also...

Yes, your daughter can join the Bachelor Degree Course in Mass Communication & Journalism which is a 3-year course, directly after 12th.
The R.K. films and media academy offers this course.

After that one can pursue various post-graduate diploma courses in film directing, A/V editing etc.

In FTII, Pune ,for doing courses on Direction and editing, the candidate must be a graduate from any stream and must give an entrance exam for admission.

I will suggest her to complete the graduation at first and then go for the admission in FTII.

Yes one can do the undergraduate course in film making and editing direct after 12th.
The eligibility is to have at least 50% marks in 10(+2) from any recognized university.

There are many reputed institutes offering courses in film making like RK Films and Media Academy, FTII,Pune etc..
After completing the degree course one can pursue the post graduate diploma courses further.

Any candidates who have finished 12th standard can join directly to a Bachelor Degree Course in Mass Communication & Journalism which is a 3-year course. well your daughter can go for degree course in film making after 12.some special courses are available.It all depends upon what your daughter is interested in.If she is interested in this field than she can go for it.never the less she still have lots of option.If she is interested in other fields she can go for those too selecting the best course of her interest she likes.

Hi,

Well, there are some institutes that require graduation to join them while some require 12th pass. At our institute, 12th grade in the minimum criteria.

Having said that, it is strictly a personal choice whether you wish to take up film making & editing directly after your 12th and start working soon or you want to finish graduation and then do it.
