IPS(Indian Police Service) exams are conducted by UPSC every year.
IPS(Civil Service Exam) has three stages to be cleared by candidate: Preliminary Exam Main Exam Personal Interview Eligibility criteria in Details: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. Civil services exam is the entrance exam for IPS. The test comprises of written test, physical efficiency test and interview. Written test is conducted in 2 sections, prelims and mains. Mental ability, English, Indian Polity, Constitution, World/India Geography, etc are asked for prelims. Optional paper, general studies, English language, etc are asked for mains exam.

The IPS Exam stands for Indian Police Services Examination. As we all know that there is no any specific IPS Examination conducted as to get entry in the Indian Police Services , the candidates have to appear in the Civil Services Exam and have to crack the same. There is no specific exam as IPS entrance Exam.
IPS stands for Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC once every year. Eligibility Criteria for IPS, Civil Service Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian National. -Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years wioth upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. -Should have possessed good Physical Fitness. Apart from this, the candidate should have minimum prescribed Physical Requirement such as:- HEIGHT :- General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm. IPS Entrance Exam : Indian Police Service entrance exam is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services examination every year once. So, if you want become a IPS officer, then the selection procedure is based on the preliminary examination and main examination and personality/interviews conducted by the UPSC. For attending the IPS officer entrance exams required requirements are given bellow: Required Requirements : Required educational qualifications are you must completed the GRADUATION from recognized university and here not required any percentage. My dear I.P.S. ( Indian Police Service ) is a very reputed civil service exam the selected candidates goes to the very reputed posts of the police department and also get selected for the c.I.D. , I.B. and C.B.I. also from this .
