Re: Details about syllabus for Andhra Bank PO exam?
The selection is on the basis of written test & interview. those who clear this written exam are called for interview.
The written test generally consists of Objective test & Descriptive test. The objective test is based on - 1. Reasoning Aptitude / mental ability 2. Quantitative Aptitude 3. General Awareness 4. English The syllabus in each section is as follows : 1. Reasoning Aptitude / Mental Ability : In this, reasoning aptitude & mental ability of the candidate is tested. There is also negative marking for wrong answer. So applicant cant give vague answers. If they are very sure then only answer them otherwise leave the question. You must read how to prepare for bank PO exam. This will definitely help you. questions are normally based on- * VERBAL Number series, alphabet series, test of direction sense, number ranking, coding decoding, arithmetical reasoning, age calculation problems, blood relations, analogy etc. * NON VERBAL mirror images, cubes & dice, embedded figures, grouping identical figures etc. 2. Quantitative Aptitude : This includes questions on the basis of HCF, LCM, Simplification, decimal fractions, ratio & proportions, unitary method, percentage, time & distance, time & work, profit & loss, average etc. 3. General Awareness : This is important to show that you are up to date. This is a necessary section. for this you have to read newspaper, magazines etc. daily. The questions are based on current affairs, economic news, budget & five year plans, sports, books & authors, awards & honors, science discoveries & inventions, important dates, national & international organizations etc. 4. English : In this English comprehension & grammar is checked. One should be very thorough with grammar part like verbs, adverbs, error correction, tenses, sentence rearrangement, vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms etc. |
