There are various institutes which offers pre-sea courses for GP rating and the fees varies accordingly. Therefore, you must refer to the official website of the institutes for complete information.

working as a OS in a fuel bunker barge capacity 450 grt. in western coast of india (experience:2 years) on a salary range of Rs.6000 a month.

I have done the following course:

(a) STCW 95 (FP&FF, PST, PSSR, PEFA) from SCI Maritime Training Institute (Mumbai).
(c) Basic seamanship, Basic ROR, Basic Navigation & Chart Work from Pacific Marine Academy.
(b) GMDSS UK from Sir Derek Bibby Maritime Training Centre (Mumbai)

and I have the Indian CDC category:RO issued in 28-11-2011

My age is now 28 yrs. DOB: 24-02-1984

I'am unable to find job for the last 3 months. everyone says you don't have the experience of RO in any vessel so we cant take you as a RO. what will I do sir..
Will I get the job as a rating in any type of vessel.

Please help me in this regard.

(I have not done the GP rating course (which is mandatory for merchant navy to join as a rating) as at that time I am unable to do that. Afterwards, as I crossed the age of 25 years so I have done the above mentioned course to get a carrier in merchant navy.)
