Electrical Engineering is based on using electrical energy to produce mechanical energy whereas electronics engineering focuses on every energy form other than mechanical energy that can be generated using electrical energy so in the definition itself you can see that the electrical branch is a bit confined as compared to the electronics branch.. Moreover ECE has electronics + Communications..where communications is a very wide and ever growing field..which has a very high scope and a lot of job opportunity.. But the ultimate decision lies with you to choose which branch you want to go for.. all the best.. ~Hope this helps.. ~ With Warm Regards "Nitz" |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
Hello dear,
These two branches have quite some differences. EEE is mostly oriented towards electrical engineering and encompasses electronics only as much required. The course includes Power systems,Microcontrollers, electrical circuits(Resistive,Inductive,Capacitive), Switchgears, Signal processing. EEE is all about the big or macro electrical products you see around yourself, such as House wiring, transformers, Power substations. Whereas, ECE or Electronics and Communications provides attention to the micro or less seen aspects such as diodes, transistors, Integrated Circuits, micro chips, Chip designing and architecture etc. It is more biased towards the communication aspect including wired and wireless networks, some IT and coding, Analog communication and signal processing. Hope this clears your doubt. |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
hi... both eee and ece are an very different branch in lot many ways ,there is not much relation between them except just two or three common subjects and rest all are completely different .the eee stand for the electrical and electronic engineering but the major course is the hard core electrical engineering branch and subjects after studying this you can work in the companies which are involved in manufacturing various electrical equipment's and also involved in the power transmission and also in the sub stations etc .
where as the ece branch stand for the electronics and the communication engineering here you would learn about the various electronics equipment's and also about the communications like the cell phone hard ware and and the various things of bsnl etc , |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
EEE is Electrical Engineering which is related to Power and Electrical energy, Its Generation, Conversion into other forms and Consumption.
There is also a lot of practical work involved. On the other hand ECE is Electronics and Communication which is related to Electronics media and communication possible through it. It is also a very wide branch with a very good scope. It also has practical work. Both are good branches and typical as well. Choice is yours. Thank You. |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
hi dear,
EEE stands for electrical and electronics engineering. ECE stands for Electronics and communication engineering. Theship, transistor etc.e both are different in the manner: EEE ostly oriented towards electrical engineering and encompasses electronics only as much required. But ECE provides attention to the micro or less seen aspects such as diodes,IC,micro chip etc. |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
Dear friend,
ECE stands for "Electronics Engineering" EEE stands for "Electrical Engineering" The ECE student study on the Fundamental concepts of the Diode, Transistor, Resistance,Electronic Chassis, etc. The EEE students study on the fundamental concept of the Motors Manufacturing, Electrical transmission, transformers, etc. Its your choice to which stream are you having the more and more interest so do select on any one of it. |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
Both are different.
Electrical & Electronics Engg (EEE) - Applications in real life: home appliances, Industrial Maintenance. mostly field work (shop floor work). Electronics & Communication Engg ( ECE) - Applications in real life : Mostly Computer based works.. These people chooses IT field.... White collar work.... Regarding Placements : ECE > EEE |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
Both are different fields altogether.
ECE means studying about communication and networking whereas EEE is the study of machineries and power industry. Right now ECE is in great demand so its better if you prefer ECE over EEE. |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
Dear Friend ,
EEE and ECE are both branches of Engineering. * EEE stands for Electronics & Electrical Engineering. * ECE stands for Electronics & Communication Engineering. The basic difference between these two is that EEE deals with Electricity and how to store energy through electricity transformation whereas ECE deals with the same as EEE in addition it also deals with the communication technology. So , ECE is far better than EEE in my opinion. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
i wish to explain this difference with an example:consider a transformer used in electrical equipments ECE people make use of these transformers in creation of various electric equipments ,EEE people tries to modify transformers. hope u got perfect clarity regarding ece & eee

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
Dear friend,
EEE stands for electrical and electronics engineering and ECE stands for electronics and communication engineering. If you complete your graduation in EEE,then you will have chance to get job in software region if you have some programming skills or you will placed in a hardware region like aviation field. Or else if you are a graduate in ECE,then will get placement in software or any type of hardware region also. In these days both of these courses have a good future after completing the courses. But i prefer to do ECE. All the best...................... |

Re: Difference between the branches of EEE and ECE?
I want to know about electronics circuits ,transformer, and power lines such as solar, wind mill, etc.
I want to achieve! Not for .... When human born in earth to achieve not to waste it. I want to achieve in electronics? By siva |
