Re: What is the difference between Electronics and Electrical?
The main difference between Electronics and Electrical, Electrical instruments deal with 'Analog' signals mostly defined by the equations of classical
physics. They certainly obey Ohm's Law. Term 'Electrical' is associated with the typical conception of Electric Field (E) which exerts electric Force(F) on a charge particle(q) and it produces electricity, Where F=qE. But 'Electronic' instruments are made to deal with 'Digital' signals. Analog electrical signal is changed to Digital signals ( 0, 1). They are semiconductors devices which never obey Ohm's Law and implemented with logic gates. In other words- ELECRICAL means flow of electrons. ELECTRONICS means study of electrons. ELECTRICAL mean it consist with only pure conductive material and electronics mean consist semiconductive materials . |

Difference Between Electronics and Electrical -
In Electronic devices we can control the flow of current using the semi conductors While in electrical devices we are not using any such things to control the current. Electrical refers to machines that are operated by Electric Power And Electronic refers to machines that use electricity to transmit or process information of some kind. Electric or Electrical are the terms that can be used interchangeably because they relate to the concept of Electricity But Electronics refer to the appliances and devices that are powered and run by Electricity. |

Re: What is the difference between Electronics and Electrical?
Electrical can be defined as "flow of electrons in a conducting material" is called as electrical....conductors such as copper silver etc...
electrical deals about high power applications such as power generation, distribution and also in industries exower sectors etc Electronics can be defined as "flow of electrons in a semiconductor devices" is called as electronics....semiconductors such as silicon and germanium etc... electronics deals about low power applications such as electronic appliances exc mobile etc |

Re: What is the difference between Electronics and Electrical?
In electrical study of semiconductors are invloved while in electronics study of conductors are invloved.
Electrical is one in which direct electricity is required whereas in electronics there is study of equipments which work on cells or battery for instance cell phone, transistor, etc. In electrical we deal with equipments of low low frequecny high power supply whereas in electronics we deal with equipments of high frequecny low power supply. Electrical deals with Analog signals wheras electronics deals with Digital signals. I hope you would have got some basic idea of difference between both of them by now..... |

Re: What is the difference between Electronics and Electrical?
hi,
good question.....Electronics engg.:-it is the study of behaviour of the electronic components like resistor,capacitors,diode,transistor,sources,etc.. .....where as, Electrical engg.:-it is not only the study of behaviour of electronic components but also their application using electricity........ |

Dear electronics field is very vast for the future for the students because in electronics,it relates to the most complex fileld in the view point of the machines of electronics. It is comprised of many micro electronic sub components that helps to make up the structure of a single micro component. On the other hand electrical field is a complex field for the students,it relates to the development and delivery of the electrical energy to various devices that performs specific functions in a given environment. Thus, it is helpful for you to understand which field is better by comparison. Thanks a lot... |

Re: What is the difference between Electronics and Electrical?
Dear friend.
Both the terms in general appears to be similar but there many difference when we deals it details:- 1. Electrical is completely core stream however Electronics is the combination of both software as well as hardware. 2. In Electrical we generally deals with AC power supply however in Electronics we deals with DC power supply. 3. In Electrical we deals with high power sysytem however in electronics we deals with the application . 4.Electricity and power generation and its supply comes under electrical however in electronics it deals with the conduction of current in different electronics devices circuits. 5.In electromics surrent conduction can be controlled by different methods using different circuit elements like transistor,FE T, vacuum tubes etc. |

Re: What is the difference between Electronics and Electrical?
ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL ?? DIFFERENCE
The main difference between the electronics and electrical is that electronics deals with the small semiconductor devices and the chips while the electrical deals with the machines and the transformers .. Also in electronics we use only small voltages that is below 20 V generally while in the electrical we use high voltages upto KV .. The branches of the electronics engineering is the Electronics and the communication engg , Electronics and the telecommunication engg , Electronics and the instrumentation engg. While for the electrical there is no such branches but electrical engineering is itself a branch . There is electronics and electrical engg branch which is common to both the above branches .. |

Electronics :- Electronics instrument is deals with the digital signal. Analog electrical signal is change to the digital signal. electronics device can control the current flow through the semiconductor. Electronics relates to the development and delivery of electrical energy. Electronic field are concerned with using electricity to process information. Electrical :- Electrical relates to the development and delivery of electrical energy to the various device that performs specific functions in a environment. Electrical is the field in which we study bout the electricity and electromagnetism. The biggest difference between the electronics and electrical lies in the strength of current. Electrical energy make use of heavy current while electronics studies low strength electric current and its use in electric component, designing of integrated circuit. Regards ~Mukul~ |

Difference Between Electrical and Electronics
1>Electrical mean it consist with only pure conductive material and electronics mean consist semiconductive materials. 2>In Electrical amount of power is very high(eg. kilo, mega watt) & other side electronics power is very small(eg. micro, nano watt). 3>Electrical devices are large size than Electronics devices. 4>Electrical instrument are fan, motor, transformer etc and Electronic instrument are mobile phone, charger, traingister radio, microwave, antanna etc. |

hmmmmm, the difference between Electrical and Electronics is given below;-
Electrical works on High voltage, but in case of Electronics works on low voltages, And another words electrical means flow of electrons, and electronics means study of electrons. |

Re: What is the difference between Electronics and Electrical?
Hi,
well, there is no difference as such between the two. but in one way we can say that electrical refers to a general discipline of engineering and electronics is a sub-class of it that deals with semiconductors. there is no absolute differentiation between the two. and its not such a big of an issue to differentiate between the two i hope that helps |
