Banking Sector plays an important role in rural areas, there is no doubt in it, indeed anywhere banking sector leads its own role.
that is the basic need of any human being for any kind of financial transaction, in current generation, it is mandatory...starts from farmer for his cultivation, seeking loans and repaying them, an employee to withdraw his salary, for students for their scholarships......etc., when it comes to comparison between past and present, can differentiate in terms of its usage such as no. of users, frequency, kind of operations and services it renders to its customers..... |

Re: Does Banking Sector play an important role in Rural Development in India?
Dear Digvijay kumar,
Banking Sector no doubt plays an important role in not just the rural areas but every field that you look to. Today's economy is a capitalist one, where commodities and services are exchanged based on monetary profits. Money drives our whole economy, and since banks provide people with that money or capital, they are essential everywhere. Specifically in rural areas, the setting up of Grameen banks, cooperative societies , farm loans and rural branches of important central and private banks has helped farmers to increase their productivity and profits with greater investments in their fields. Since rural development is mostly dependent on farming, it has gained sufficiently from this practice. Also, banks help in generating employment in rural areas. I hope this helped, sincerely, mettalrose |
