I am the student of vv,Degree collage,hyderabad. Would Veershaiva Lingayat comes under OBC List or not.

No friend, Veershaiva Lingayat is not included in central list of Other Backward Castes.


For your information, only two type of Lingayat's are there in the list :

• Lingayat Mali
• Teli-Lingayat

Even Lingayat Wani was excluded in the list.

there is a statewise list in the above link. as far as i knew the category u mentioned is not in the list i think.

The Veershaiva Lingayat does not comes under the Other Backward Castes ..
Only the Lingayat Mali , Lingayat Wani and the Lingayat Teli comes under the Other Backward castes.
You can go through the other OBCs in the state of the Maharashtra ....
