Hi,
im pursing Mba (1st yr) and im intrested to do the cs course.can u tell the formalities that i have to go through and the duration of the course within which i have to finish the same. like some courses are for 2 yrs duration but can be completed within 3 or 4 yrs.

And if u could aslo tell me if i can get any exemption for the subjects that i need to study as i have also done a diploma in business mgt.

the course duration is of 24 months to 12 months depending upon the mode of learning that is part time basis or regular basis & i dont think that you will be exempted from any of the couses mentioned in their syllabus and for more details yyou can get the deatils form the given address::---

Application forms along with other particulars can be obtained from the Department of Company Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi-110001.

I don't agree with rahul k as m a cs(company secretary) myself and its definitely not a entry level 8 months course, rahul pls check out official website of icsi.edu or my attachment.

there is no limitation of duration.duration according to ur ability.most of them aquire cs after a proffessional degree like CA/ICWA.

The minimum course duration as per the regulations of the respective institutions is

CA PE-II
- 10 months

CWA ICWA Inter
- 12 months
*
CS Inter
- 10 months

The course duration is the minimum time that a student has to spend on taking up the course on this level. It is the period starting from the time the student gets registered to the time the student completes the course.

The actual time that a student has to spend on the course is dependent on the actual date of registration.

this is one of the evolving courses.
it takes eight-month duration ( 8 Months).
it is of 3 types:
CA PE-II
CWA ICWA Inter
CS Inter.
you are eligible foe ca pe-II

dear friend,
there is the different type of the course in the cs,so for the course A PE-II the duration is of 10 months,the duration is of CWA,the duration is of ICWA Inter12 months,the duration is of CS Inter 10 months

hii friend its only eight months course............and there many long duration courses also for CS...........

Formalities for cs is normal , you just have to registered yourself cs course which runs throughout the year,after getting registered you have to sit in the exams for cs and have to pass in every exams conducted by icsi. It takes generally 3 to4years minimum

The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 has to undergo three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course i.e.
Foundation Programme
Executive Programme
Professional Programme

In addition, the student has to undergo Practical Training for about 15 months which a student may opt to start after passing the Executive Programme.

The Student who would like to join the Course after passing the Graduation has to undergo two stages of the Company Secretaryship i.e.

Executive Programme
Professional Programme

Besides, the student has to undergo Practical Training for about 15 months.

Foundation Programme which is of eight months duration can be pursued by 10+2 pass students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream

Executive Programme can be pursued by a Graduate of all streams except Fine Arts.

Admission to the CS Course is open throughout the year. Examinations are held twice a year in June & December.

Two types of course are available partime and full time,a basic course duration is 8 month otherwise you can admit for 2 year or 3 years...

Company secretary is a basic-level course, which is of eight-month duration ( 8 Months).

I am currently doing CA.I have cleared the entrance and inter level exam and have started my articleship also.If i decide to also pursue CS now,is it necessary to undergo any other training or is the articles of my CA course enough??
