Re: Education courses to do genetic engineering after BiPC?
now that you have taken biology......you can either go for medical engineering or if you want to go for technical field then you have genetic engineering ........
Genetic engineering aims to re-arrange the sequence of DNA in gene using artificial methods. The work of a genetic engineer involves extracting the DNA out of one organism, changing it using chemicals or radiation and subsequently putting it back into the same or a different organism. there are a lot of universities and institutes in India which provides this course ....they are :- Kakatiya University, Warangal and Osmania University, Hyderabad, both in Andhra Pradesh. further if you want to go for doctoral research........ Genetic Engineering labs with latest infrastructure facilities are : BHU, Varanasi Biochemical Engineering Research and Process Development Centre at IMTECH, Chandigarh. Centre for DNA Finger Printing and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad. JNU, New Delhi There is an increasing demand for genetic engineers in India as well as abroad. Genetic engineers are mainly absorbed in medical and pharmaceutical industries, the agricultural sector, and the research and development departments of the government and private sectors. best of luck |

dear friend
You can get into a variety of Biotechnology related courses as mentioned. In addition, you can also widen your horizons by looking at other courses related to Agricultural Sciences, Commerce, Accounting where you can take up Chartered Accounting Arts, etc. But considering the thrust Bio-Sciences, Pharma, Genetic Engineering, Agricultural Sciences industries are getting, you can make a good career in related subjects............... ok all the best.......... |

Re: Education courses to do genetic engineering after BiPC?
To pursue a career in Genetic Engineering after completing BiPC (Biology, Physics, Chemistry), you can consider the following education pathways:
Bachelor's Degree in Genetic Engineering: Many universities offer undergraduate programs specifically in Genetic Engineering or related fields such as Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry. These programs provide a solid foundation in genetic engineering principles, techniques, and applications. Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology or Biomedical Engineering: Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering programs cover various aspects of genetic engineering along with other interdisciplinary subjects related to biology, engineering, and medical sciences. Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences: You can opt for a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, such as Biology or Microbiology, and then pursue a specialization or postgraduate studies in Genetic Engineering or related fields. Integrated Courses: Some institutions offer integrated programs that combine undergraduate and postgraduate studies, such as a five-year integrated B.Tech-M.Tech program in Genetic Engineering or Biotechnology. |
