Hello Sir/Madam,
I am a BE (IT) 4th year student. I have 86.6% in 10th,76.6% in 12th (both under CBSE) and an aggregate of 68.3% upto 3rd year. I have no backlogs from 2nd semester onwards. I did have one back paper in the 1st semester but have cleared it already. Am I eligible for companies like Infosys,IBM,HCL etc?

yes you are eligible for the above mentioned companies prior that you have a good knowledge of programming that is basics of a language will be sufficient enough to clear the test and PI and technical Interviews

Students should possess minimum 70% marks in degree with no backlogs.(70% throughout)

HCL:-

* 2011 Batch candidates from the above colleges

Infosys, IBM, HCL are all MNCs and the eligibility criteria for the MNCs is that you need to score minimum of 60% through your academic career from 10th till degree. So looking at your marks there is no doubt that you are definitely eligible for MNCs. Just, from now on don't keep any back logs and if you prepare well for placements to this company you can surely get into it. best wishes.!!

maximum no of software company not allow the persons who have any kind backlog.

so you have to cleared your backlog then you are eligible for MNC companies.

sorry to say taht you are not eligible for HCL companies because they want 60 % throughout.

also they consider only two tear gape in career.

so you are not applicable for HCL.

For WIPRO and SYNTEL eligibility criteria is 50% in through out. Backlog candidate are not allowed .maximum two years gap are allowed.

but your 10 th marks is just 49% so you are not eligible for MNC companies.

yes, you are eligible for most of the MNC's and i suggest you to increase your aggregate upto 70%. as you are in 3rd year you have chances to increase your percentage. if you have 70 and above percentage then you will be allowed to attend all the companies.

I m bit afraid......that i can't opt for big co. due to lower academic score,,,agreed it's me that i made a mistake....but still have potential to grow and prove myself.

Score which i had covered 42.00% in 10th, 52.00% in 12th, 62.00% in BCom, 64.00% in BCA...but still not much use to crack good deal

Current working as a developer but look forward for good co. after 2 years ,,,,,

Eligibility Criteria For HCL,Infosys and IBM

For most of the IT companies, a candidate must have the following eligibility criterion for appearing in the campus recruitment exam :-

1) The candidate must have obtained at least 60% aggregate in 10th,12th and till B.Tech 6th semester (for Infosys you need 65%)

2) The candidates must not have a study gap of more than 1 year (some companies also allow 2 years)

Since, you have an aggregate of more than 65% throughout hence you have no reason to worry and can appear for almost all the recruitment exams

I have also attached some of the previous year placement papers of HCL,IBM and Infosys along with the post..

Observe the pattern and the level of the questions asked..

you will be happy to know that , you are eligible in all the companies, you have mentioned.

As their eligibility criteria is 60% through out career i.e. in 10th,12th and engineering.

Maximum 2 backlogs are allowed and no standing backlog should be there at the time of recruitment.

So, of course you are eligible. Just concentrate on your studies.
