How to become a CBI officer -

To become a CBI officer, then you have to appear the exams conducted by UPSC. And This exams is held generally once a year for the post of Sub-Inspectors of Police in Central Bureau of Investigation and the application forms and other particulars are published in the Employment News in the month of October.

Eligiblity -

If you have completed your bacholar degree, then you are eligible for appear in this exams. But your age is between 20 to 25 years.

>> Age Limit should Not exist 25 years for General Category. there is a relaxation is available for SC/ST category up to upper Age + 5 years.

Selection Process:

1. Written Test

Dear friend,

In order to become an Crime Branch Officer you have to join Central Bureau of Investigation which is commonly known as CBI. In order to join CBI you have to appear in CGPE exam(Combined graduate Preliminary Exam). There are two stage to join CBI. First stage is at the level of class 1 officer for which you have to appear in IPS exam and become an IPS offcer. From here you can get entry in CBI. Second stage is at the level of sub inspector of CBI for which you have to appear in the exam conducted by Staff Selection commission.

The main work of CBI officers is to detect crime and helps to solve cases and also responsible for national security.This is under controlled by the prime minister of India.

Eligibility Criteria:-

1)- You should have completed your Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

2)- You should have minimum 55% marks in Graduation.

3)- For general Candidates age limits is 21 to 30 years.

4)- For OBC Candidates age limit is 21 to 33 years.

5)- For SC/ST candidates age limit is 21 to 35 years.

Selection Process:-

1.Written test
