Eligibility criteria for Group I examination -
To appear for Group I examinations, You must have possess the final year degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India. And Candidates who have written the final year degree examination may also apply to the TNPSC Group 1 Preliminary Examination for direct recruitment to the posts. For the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police - A Degree or Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science and also to those who possess National Award for Physical efficiency. For Assistant Commissioner - A Degree both in Commerce and Law together with a Diploma in Taxation Laws, a Degree both in Commerce and Law OR a Degree either in Commerce or Law together with a Diploma in Taxation Laws.Fourth Preference - A Degree either in Commerce or Law. Assistant Director in Rural Development Department - Post Graduate Degree in Rural Service of the Gandhigram Rural Institute, Madurai District. P.G. Degree or Diploma in Extension P.G. Degree or Diploma in Sociology. Physical Qualification for TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2011 - For Men - you must be not less than 165 cms in Height and not less than 86 cms round the chest on full inspiration and must have a chest expansion of not less than 5 cms. For Women -you must be not less than 155 cms in Height. The Chest measurement will not apply to them. |

Tnpsc exam 2011 age limits
tnpsc group 1 age limit as on 1.7.10 minimum age limit : the candidate should have completed 21 yrs. (should have been born on or before 1.7.89) maximum age limit : the candidate should not have completed (a) 35 yrs sc,st,mbc and destitute widow of all the castes. (b)30 yrs for candidates not belonging to any of the above said categories. |

TNPSC Group I Actually TNPSC conducts around 215 Exams yearly. Lets see a brief about TNPSC GROUP I Exam. Tnpsc Group Exam has following post according to this year Notification:- Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category –1),Assistant Commissioner First preference & Assistant Director in Rural Development Department. Eligibility Criteria:- You must have completed 21 years of age and should be born on or before 01 July 1989 and maximum age limit is 35 years of age for SC/ST/OBC and 30 years For General Candidates. Note For physical Standards and Other Information You can either visit www.tnpsc.gov.in Or click this Attachment. Group I Notification was published on 29 of Dec 2010 and please note down last date of receipt of application was 28 of January.Exam is on 22 of May 2011. |

ELIGIBLITY; Age limit- Minimum age is 21 years. Maximum age is 35 years. You must have possess the final year degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central. thanks |

hi
i have applied for tnpsc group 1 exam . tn the application there was one question. "do u have physical standards for per notification?" but after saving the application the same question has become as "do u have preferential physical standards for per notification?" what is the difference? why s this mismatch? what is preferential meant? |
