NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation) is the biggest power company in the country. NTPC has just notified for 600 Executive Trainees from the following disciplines:

Engineering Executive Trainees (EETs): Electrical-160, Mechanical-220, Civil-60, Control & Instrumentation-90.

Executive Trainees - Human Resources (ET-HR): 30.

Executive Trainees - Finance (ET-Fin): 40.

NTPC Exam Eligibility:
Educational Eligibility: Min. 55% marks for SC, ST and Physically Challenged & 65% marks for others.

Age Eligibility
For EET: Max. 27 years as on 01/01/2010 i.e. examinees born before 01/01/82 is not qualified. This age limit is relaxed by 2 years for the examinees with Post graduation degree.
For ET-HR & ET-Fin: Max. 29 years as on 01/01/2010 i.e. examinees born before 01/01/80 is not qualified.
Max. age limit is relaxed through 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC.

For Executive Trainee – Human Resource (ET HR) : The candidate should be a Graduate with at least 2 yrs of full time post graduate degree / Post graduate diploma/ Post graduate program in Management with specialization in Human Resource / Industrial relations / Personnel Management or Masters in Social work. All the degree should be from a recognized Indian university. You should have at least 65% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.


C. For Executive Trainee – Finance (ET-Fin) : The candidates who are CA / ICWA qualified from a Institute recognized by the appropriate statutory authority will be considered eligible.

Basic eligibility for NTPC exam is bachelor/engineering degree is different streams.

You need to be a engineering degree holder.

For various designation, they consider the relative engineering degree. When vacancies arises certain level they call the relative engineering degree holder

-ntpc exam is nowdays appeared by a number of students. It is of- eet & et-fin. For eet the
candidate must be a graduate in engineering or technology with minimum 65%.
For et-fin the candidate should have qualified ca/icwa. The maximum age limit for et-fin is 29 and for eet is 27.

General/ OBC candidates should have secured 65% marks and SC/ST candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% Marks.

Engineering Graduates in the Aeronautical Branch with minimum aggregate 60% marks (for General/OBC) and 50% for SC/ST would be eligible to apply.
