Eligibility for CTET and UPTET examinations
Sir I have completed MCA from AMITY UNIVERSITY and B.sc with 49.12 % can I eligible for Ctet and Uptet exams, both? Please help me out with this.

The eligibility criteria to appear in CTET and UPTET is:
Candidate should have done a bachelor degree from recognised University with at least 50% marks Candidate should have Indian citizenship. B Ed is compulsory. No age limit is specified to appear in the test. To pass the exam at least 60% marks required for general category and 55% for SC and ST category. |

CTET stands for central teacher eligibility test
Eligibility for CTET:- Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V Candidates should have Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education. Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: 1).Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. 2).OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). |

No, you are not eligible to appear for CTET or UPTET examination.
To appear for examination, it is necessary to have B.Ed degree from any recognised university, so you are not eligible to appear for examination without B.Ed degree. Yes, candidate passed 10+2 with two years of diploma in teaching education are also eligible to appear for examination. For more information about examination visit at www.ctet.nic.in. |
