Cost & Works Accounts (CWA) Course

Dear Friend

Institute of Cost and Works Accounts of India (ICWAI) conducts CWA or ICWAI Qualification course.

The complete course divided in three levels.

I. Foundation Course
You can apply for the Foundation course after completing 12th (Age >/= 17 years).
The fee for the course is approximately Rs. 3,500/-

II. Intermediate Course
You can apply for the intermediate course after qualifying the Foundation course
or
after completing graduation (other than fine arts).
The course fee is approximately Rs. 15,700/-
For oral coaching extra Rs.4,000/- is payable

III. Final Course
You can apply for this course after qualifying the Intermediate course and
the course fee is approximately Rs. 11,000/-
For oral coaching extra Rs.5,000/- is payable

As you are a graduate you can directly apply for Intermediate Course.

All the examinations are held twice a year. One in June and another in December.

The last date for admission/enrollment to CWA Foundation, Intermediate and
Final Course for June term examination is 5th of December of previous year.

The last date for admission/enrollment to CWA Foundation, Intermediate and
Final Course for June term examination is 5th of June of the same year.

Once you are enrolled for the course then you can submit application for that particular exam.

The dates of starting of application is notified on ICWAI website itself.

The last date of applying for the June term exam is 10th of April and
for December term exam it is 10th of October.

To get the registration forms you you should contact ICWAI Head Quarter or other
council offices of ICWAI.

  • Must have an Intermediate or equivalent degree

Eligibility criteria for joining Intermediate course
  • You can join after clearing foundation course
  • A Graduate with any stream can join

Dear Friend,

ICWAI is a professional course.If you want to get admitted then you must apply as a non graduate at present.You will have to take admission in the foundation course of the ICWAI.Otherwise After completing your Graduation you can get admitted in the Intermediate course of ICWAI.

To take admission you will have to go and fill up the form from the respective institutes.
The fee required for the foundation is rs 5000 and for the Intermediate is around 15000.

The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants Of India is one of the best institutions for the field of Accountancy of Cost and Management in India.

To complete the course ,you should complete three stages of the entire course:


1:Foundation Course

Hello Gautam,
After completion of your B.Com final year, you will have to enroll for the Intermediate course of the program. The intermediate course is followed by the Final course.

The fee structure of the course through correspondence is as follows:
Foundation Course- Rs.3500
Intermediate course- Rs.7000.
Final Course- Rs. 9000

The fee structure for candidates seeking oral coaching offered by the institute is as follows:
Foundation Course- Rs.3500
Intermediate course- Rs. 11000.
Final Course- Rs. 14000

hii friend..here is the eligibility criteria.........


Eligibility: Candidates with 10+2 qualification can join the Institute's Intermediate course after qualifying the Foundation Course examination of the Institute. Similarly students awaiting result of Graduation examination may also avail the facility of provisional registration. Direct Registration without appearing for the Foundation course is open to Graduates of any discipline.

after graduation you can skip foundation & can direct take admission in INTEr .

i have completed my 10th after that i discontinued my diploma course and directly i applied my UG course (B.B.A) in correspondence after that i completed my MBA finance and marketing (regular) shall i apply for icwa

It is very good thinking of yours as you want to do professional course like ICWAI. The minimum eligibility criteria to join ICWAI is class 12th pass.
After passing class 12th one can join the foundation course of the ICWAI. However if a candidate has passed graduation as in your case, then the candidate can directly join the intermediate of the ICWAI.The course is of 4.5 years.
To join ICWAI course you can apply online as well. To get more information you can log on to the website http://www.icwai.org

You can also join CA course.

Exams are held two times in a year i.e. on 18th to 21st June and on 26th to 29th December.
For June Term Examination apply before 15th December of previous year and for December Term Examination apply before 15th June.

Where to Apply:

All students shall submit their Postal Application form, duly filled in together with relevant documents and remittances to their respective Regional Councils only. Regional Councils and area covered by the region are given here.


ICWA Final Course

Eligibility requirements

No candidate shall be admitted to the Final Examination unless
he/she has got a valid registration number (not time-barred).
she has not been debarred from appearing in ICWAI Examination.
he/she has passed the ICWAI Intermediate Examination in penultimate term; i.e. a student passing in December Examination shall not be allowed to sit for the next June Examination .
he/she has obtained the necessary coaching completion certificate .
he/she has paid the fees according to Current Rate within the stipulated date: i.e. 15th April and 25th October for June and December Examination, respectively.
he/she has submitted the application in prescribed form which is available from the Head Quarters, Regional Councils and Chapters on payment of Rs.20 only by Demand Draft or against cash payment at the counters of the respective offices. (Rs.25/- if obtained by Post) .

Option to use Hindi in Foundation, Intermediate and Final Examinations of the Institute: Candidates of Foundation, Intermediate and Final Examinations are allowed to exercise option for answering questions in Hindi.

For obtaining Coaching Completion Certificate (CCC),it is necessary for the student to complete the following trainings:

1. Dissertation- 5000 Words.

For obtaining CCC, either in stage III or IV, whichever is later, the student is required to undergo dissertation. The methodology would be as follows:

Dissertation should be conducted under the guidance of a person having any of the qualifications viz. FICWA, FCA, FCS, University Professor, Associate Professor, Officers in the rank of Dy.. Secretary and above in respect of the State or Central Govt., Officers in the rank of DGM/Vice-President in respect of Private or Public Sector organizations as applicable.
The student would require to select the Guide to examine his/her dissertation. However, the Regional Councils and Oral Coaching Centres having permission to conduct Oral or Postal coaching in the Final course, may issue introductory letter to the students on request.
The Regional Council/Chapters would maintain a list of such persons selected as Guide for such dissertations.
One copy of the papers submitted by the student would be kept with the Regional Council/Chapter in their Library for future reference, and a list will be sent to Director of Studies at Headquarters, Kolkata. While issuing certificate for dissertation, the Regional Council/Chapter would mention the topic in the respective dissertation.
No fees would be charged by the Regional Council/Chapter for such type of dissertation.

2. Computer hand on – 100 hours.

The candidate who has passed one stage and appearing in another stage or the candidate appearing in both stages of the examination is required to complete the compulsory computer training with recognized institutions as notified by the Institute from time to time. A separate fee for this training is required to be paid.

Exemption from Computer training is available, if a candidate fulfills the following:

Students having "A" level certificate of DOEACC would be exempted from appearing in computer training in the Final level.
Additionally, students having Post-graduate Degree/Diploma awarded by any organisation, recognised by any Indian University or AICTE for this purpose will be exempted for undergoing the Computer Training Course.
Students having requisite qualification and desirous of availing of the facility of exemption as mentioned above may apply to Director (Studies), ICWAI, 12, Sudder Street,Kolkata-700 016 with relevant documents alongwith a remittance of Rs 1200/- by way of demand draft in favour of ICWAI payable at Kolkata in the prescribed form.

3. Modular Training-15 days

The Regional Councils and Chapters would arrange modular training for 15 working days. The fees for this training will not exceed Rs. 1500/-.

4. Audit/ Industrial Training- 12 Months

Training covers the following areas:

Orientation of the organization
Cost and Management Accounting areas
Financial Account areas
Management Accounting areas
General Office services

This training will be arranged by the student under intimation to the Regional Council or Chapter as applicable.

Cost & Works Accounts (CWA) Course

Dear Friend

Institute of Cost and Works Accounts of India (ICWAI) conducts CWA or ICWAI Qualification course.

The complete course divided in three levels.

I. Foundation Course
You can apply for the Foundation course after completing 12th (Age >/= 17 years).
The fee for the course is approximately Rs. 3,500/-

II. Intermediate Course
You can apply for the intermediate course after qualifying the Foundation course
or
after completing graduation (other than fine arts).
The course fee is approximately Rs. 15,700/-
For oral coaching extra Rs.4,000/- is payable

III. Final Course
You can apply for this course after qualifying the Intermediate course and
the course fee is approximately Rs. 11,000/-
For oral coaching extra Rs.5,000/- is payable

As you are a graduate you can directly apply for Intermediate Course.

All the examinations are held twice a year. One in June and another in December.

The last date for admission/enrollment to CWA Foundation, Intermediate and
Final Course for June term examination is 5th of December of previous year.

Once you are enrolled for the course then you can submit application for that particular exam.

The dates of starting of application is notified on ICWAI website itself.

ICWAI is a professional course.If you want to get admitted then you must apply as a non graduate at present.You will have to take admission in the foundation course of the ICWAI.Otherwise After completing your Graduation you can get admitted in the Intermediate course of ICWAI.

To take admission you will have to go and fill up the form from the respective institutes.
The fee required for the foundation is rs 5000 and for the Intermediate is around 15000.

ICWA stands for Cost and Work Accountancy.

Courses in ICWA : -
1. Foundation course of ICWAI
2. Intermediate course of ICWAI
3. Final course of ICWAI

Eligibility :
1. A student must have completed 17 years of ages
2. Must have passed the senior secondary examination (10+2) of any board recognized by the Central or State government.
