Hello
University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. Candidate should clear Master’s degree with at least 55 %. The qualifications should not be relaxed even for candidates possessing M.Phil/Ph.D. at the time of recruitment. You can also go through www.ugc.ac.in for any other doubts. I am attaching a notification which will assure you about the minimum qualification.Just find it below. |

For that, you should have secured minimum of 55% marks in Masters Degree OR equivalent examination from a recognised Universities/Institutions in Arts, Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc.. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates... So if you have more than 50% marks in your post graduation, you can apply for UGC-NET. |
