Sir Iam doing Msc.Forensic science and want to join CBI.
So please tell me the whole procedure and criteria regarding this.
Also tell me the eligibility for this and qualification required for this.

A) Educational Qualification:

Degree in any discipline from a Recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. OR

A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3) pattern/11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/State Government or U.T. administration. OR

A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation / SSC (old pattern) / SSLC/ 10th Std. examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.

For SC/ST / EX-Servicemen / PWD, the educational qualification is relaxed as below:

A pass in HSC examination (10+2) of 10+2+3 pattern/11th Std. examination of 11+1+3 pattern / Pre-University or equivalent examination. OR

A pass with 50% marks in the aggregate in matriculation / SSC (old pattern) SSLC / 10th Std. in (10+2+3) pattern or equivalent examination.

Note:

For Ex-Servicemen (who do not possess the above) a pass in service (Departmental) Examination which is recognized to civil examination not below the rank of Higher Secondary School Examination.
All Educational Qualifications should be from Recognized University / Central / State / U.T. Administration.
Should be able to write and speak English fluently.
Knowledge to read, write and speak the official language of the state for which the candidate has applied is essential.
Computer Literacy- Apart from relevant qualification for the above post, computer literacy shall be an essential qualification, which the candidate must either possess or acquire within six months of joining the Bank.

Eligibility for joining CBI and qualifications required are as under mentioned:

The following eligiblity is required for the Central Bureau of Investigation exam:
Essential :

Bachelor's degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

Three years experience of inspection/vigilance/operational work in the field of foreign trade or foreign exchange.

Desirable :

Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized University or equivalent. OR

A qualification recognized for enrollment in the register of members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. OR

Diploma in Taxation Laws from a recognized University or Institute or equivalent. OR

Post Graduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized University or equivalent of one year's duration in Foreign Trade or International Business.

Period of Deputation : The period of deputation (including short-term contract), including period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization / department of the Central Government, shall ordinarily not exceed five years.

As you are forensic science student you are eligible for forensic dept at CBI.For joining you need to go through an examination conducted by UPSC.

Entry in CBI is done through civil service exam conducted by UPSC.
At lower level recruitement is done by the bureau through notification in national dalies.
At middle and higher level , it is done througgh the deputation of IPS officers from different states.

hi, sir i am siddhartha, i have passed madhyamik examination with 59% marks and higher secondary with 66% marks, now i am doing B.Sc(General). could i be able for CBI examination after my B.Sc?

For joining the CBI, the qualification is complete the graduation degree with any stream after completing the graduation you can apply for the exam of UPSC or the exam of Police officers.
so for the post of police officer the promotion has been done and after this promotion you can be join the CBI department.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) examination usually in the month of February.

Eligibility for Central Bureau of Investigation Exam 2011: -

1. Qualifications: - Degree of a regonised University or equivalent.

2. Age Limit: - 20 - 25 years.

3. CBI Exam 2011 Application Forms: - The application form can be transferred from the official website of SSC and designated Post Offices.

4. Selection Procedure 2011: - Selection based on Written Test, Personal Interview and According to Rule and Regulation of the Govt of India.

5. Plan of the Examination: -

a. Part I - Written Examination carrying: 400 marks
i. General Test
ii. General Intelligence and Reasoning
iii. General Awareness
iv. Numerical Ability

b. Part II - Personality Test (Interview): 100 marks.
i. English Language
ii. Language Comprehension
iii. Communication / Writing
iv. Ability Test
