Hi, I have completed BDS and now looking forward to join government dental college as a Faculty or Teacher. So, can I apply directly or do I need to write any entrance examination? If yes, then which entrance?

Here are some of the govt. jobs that a BDS graduate can apply for after course completion.

• Army Dental Corps. Candidates can get entry through two modes i.e. SSC (Short Service Commission) or DPC (Direct Permanent Commission)
• Territorial Officer in Indian Army. Candidates need to apply through Indian Army official site. There will be written exam followed by Interview. Then SSB and then Medical Board.
• Contractual Dental Officer in Indian Navy or Airforce
• IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS, etc. via UPSC Civil Services exam
• Dental surgeons as State Govt. jobs
• Dentist in Indian Railway. No such entrance but you should have at least 3 years working experience in this field.
• Dental surgeons in Central Govt. Institutes, AIIMS, Forensic Labs, Agricultural sector.
