iam manju, im doing b.tech. in final yr in eletronics instrumentation and control branch. what r d xams through which i could enter iaf

Please make clear that after which degree you want to know the procedure of joining air force. after class 12th you can enter through nda exam conducted by upsc or the form released by air force.

you can enter the air force by writing the cds exam,
but you should not have sight and your vision should be 6/6.also you will be given only one chance to become an pilot and if you faill you will never have an chance of becoming pilot again

You can join indian air force. there are two branches in which you can apply
1. Flying Branch
2. Technical branch
FLYING BRANCH:
For flying branch there are 3 ways of exam.
I. NDA (for 10+2)age limit 16 to 19
II. CDSE (for gradu.)age limit 19 to 23
III. NCC Age limit 19 to 23
Technical Branch:
I.Direct Entry Scheme age limit 18 to 28
II. University Entry Scheme age limit 18 to 28
for UES technical branch you must be an engineering student of aeronautical/electronics/mechanical/electrical/cse.GOOD LUCK.

To enter into IAF you need to be regularly updated with certain websites like

Well Manju, let me first tell you that women can join all the branches of AIr Force...be it the Flying Branch, the Technical Branch or the Ground Duty Branch. Since you are an engineering student, I believe you are aiming to join the Technical Branch; as such, you will first need to appear for the Engineering Knowledge Test (or EKT) conducted by IAF's Permanent Commission. This, however, is just the screening test and is followed by a few psychological tests, interviews and medical tests, etc.

With Graduate degree you can join Defence Forces by applying for SSC(Short Service Commision) examination.

you can join in air force while doing btech in eletronics instrumentation and control branch.

you can get chance in air force in two ways

1.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech.

2.through UPSC exam. this exam you can appear after your graduation course.

B.Tech graduates can join the Indian Air Force in the flying, technical or the ground branches. There are mainly three modes of entry for engineers to join the IAF i.e. Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), National Cadet Corps Special Entry,
Flying Pilot Short Service Commission for both men and women. (appointment for 14 years with no further extension). For further details please visit the official website of IAF.

There is only few option for you to enter into the Indian air force as you are girl.
You can't appear for the NDA but you can appear in CDS(common defence service) this is the best option for you as you are pursuing electronics engineering.

As u r a final year student u can enter in Indian Airforce through the following
1. UES- It's ur university seat, the Air force personnel arrives and shortlis candidates through the campus interview for further selection.

This is Diljeet from ludhiana(Pb).
I want to join Indian Air Force. I am doing BCA from IGNOU, New Delhi. I came to know that one can join direct IAF by clearing Bsc with PCM and then clearing CDS Exams for women. Should I continue my BCA as I have also taken admission in BSc(from IGNOU), or go with BSc and then CDS. It is possible to go for CDS after BCA. Please guide me.
Also I am an athletic player with participation in nationals.Will sports prove a benefit for me. Is gradation of certiuficates is compulsory.
