I have done M.Sc Biotechnology from Kanpur University. Please tell me about the future scope of this degree ? And in which sector and for which post can I apply ?

biotech is only a developing field .. job opportunities are very very less in india .. only some company like biocon. shasun ,some international pharm product company recuitng it .. best is ..you can try for any teaching post in arts college

HELLO,biotechnology is progressing in india slowly but surely.you will get benefit of your master degree in tip field,remember biotech companies prefer those candidates have good work-experience & have attainded internship programmes.so try to join some training programs,internship programmes with biotech companies or research centres.you can apply for R&D department in companies like biocone pvt.ltd.,hindustan unilever pvt.ltd. etc.

Dear friend you can work in R&D, manufacturing, production, department of companies manufacturing devices used in hospital like X-ray machine, color Doppler etc, in medicine producing companies, you can join Indian army. competitive exams, central and state government jobs,

you guys are fools and those who are guiding you to take biotech are certainly ignorant or just misleading you to show off how much they know.
Although, would say that it all depends how much you want to make or is your vision making money and staying comfortable with high std. of living. there will be number of people who will give you LAME lectures about you are in it for your passion and not money, trust me that all is bullshit.
One line of advice get the hell out of biotech when and if you can, don't try to reinvent the wheel, i am alot of experience in this, and as per the parameters of many i am settled but i differ a bit when i compare myself with my friends who are working in downtown Manhattan.
but this thread is not about me but about biotech and my advice run fast and run far from biotech, biggest bullshit and most of the people who tell you to get into it ve no idea what they are saying, i have seen the complete cycle of this field.
let me know if someone has any specific questions about future or salaries or anything in specific about biotech, in INDIA, US or UK or Germany as these are the only places i know well about.
