I have completed my SSLC and now I'm confused to take up higher education. I am interested in taking up Diploma. What are options which I can go for?

Options of diploma courses after 10th are endless. There are two types of diploma courses- Technical and non technical.

Technical courses are more job oriented. The top technical courses are all engineering related. These programs are called Diploma in Engineering and its duration is three years. This course can be pursued from the Polytechnic institutes or technical institutes offered by Government as well as Private institutes. On successfully completing these courses you can get direct admission for 2nd year of relevant Bachelor’s Degree Engineering programs through lateral entry.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Diploma in Chemical Engineering
• Diploma in Electronics and Communications Engineering
• Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering
• Diploma in Information Technology
• Diploma in Agricultural Engineering

List of Non Technical Diploma courses:-

• Pharmacy
• Hotel Management & Catering Technology
• Medical Laboratory Technology
• Textile Manufactures
• Interior Designing and Decoration
• Travel And Tourism
• Journalism and Mass Comm

If you are interested in diploma course you are eligible to get the admission in the course after the SSLC.

The eligibility to get admission in diploma course is :-

Candidate must have passed 10th from any recognised board.

Candidate must having minimum 60% to appear for entrance examination conducted by most of institutes.

Do not bother about the future scope as there are many future options available in jobs and higher studies after diploma course.
