Assam Public Service Commission conduct following examinations:

1. Combined Competitive Examination.
2. Departmental Examination.

Assam Public Service Exam eligibility criteria:

Nationality : the candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualification: Should have completed or about to complete his/her graduation in any discipline from recognized university.

Age Limitation: Candidate age should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years. The upper age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates that is upto 43 years.

Advertisement to various posts of civil services is generally published in the news paper and also on the official page of Assam Public Service Commission. The written examination consists of three stages:

1. The Preliminary examination
2. The Main examination
3. Final Interview.

The preliminary examination consists of two papers and duration of eaxch paper is for two hours. The questions are of multi choice objective types:

1. Paper 1 : General Studies
Marks: 200
Duration of examination : 2 hours.

2. Paper 2 : One optional subject that candidate need to select from the list of optional subjects : http://http://www.apsc.nic.in/syllabus.asp
Marks : 200
Duration of examination : 2 hours.

The Main examination consists of written examination, essay type question and a viva-voice (which carries 200 marks). The Main examination is for those aspirants who have qualified in the Preliminary examination.

Papers 1 : General English
Marks : 300
Duration of examination : 300

Paper 2 : General Studies
Marks : 300
Duration : 3 hours

Paper 3 : Any two optional subjects to be selected from the list of optional subject (two papers each) : http://http://www.apsc.nic.in/syllabus.asp
Marks : 200
Duration : 3 hours.

Paper 4 : Any two optional subjects to be selected from the list of optional subject two papers each) : http://http://www.apsc.nic.in/syllabus.asp

Qualifying in the Main examination will lead you to the next stage that is Interview which carries 200 marks.

Sir I have completed BSc physiotherapist from assam downtown university, am I eligible to appear assam civil service exams. Please advice.
