West Bengal Public Service Commission, which is called as Public Service Commission, West Bengal is working under the control of the West Bengal state Government with the objective of selection of right candidates for different government job positions arising in the state of West Bengal.

Public Service Commission, West Bengal has invited applications from eligible candidates for the positions of Physiotherapist and Social Worker Grade III in the Directorate of ESI (MB) Scheme under Labor Department and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the commission in this respect:
Name of the Vacancies: Physiotherapist Grade III and Social Worker Grade III
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 31, which is divided among the two positions as follows:
• Physiotherapist Grade III - 20
o SC – 03
o OBC (Category A) – 01
o OBC (Category B) – 01
• Social Worker Grade III - 11
o SC - 05
o ST – 01
o OBC (Category A) – 02
o OBC (Category B) – 02
o Persons with disability (Low vision or blindness) – 01
Apart from these reservations, the other vacancies are applicable for general category candidates for the position of Physiotherapist grade III.
Pay scale: Candidates selected for both positions will be coming under the pay scale of Rs.7100-37600 with Grade Pay of Rs.3600 under pay band 3.
Educational qualification:
Physiotherapist Grade III: Candidates must have passed their higher secondary examination from the higher secondary education Council of the state of West Bengal with biology/mathematics, chemistry and physics subjects with two-year diploma in Physiotherapy approved by the West Bengal Government. Desirable qualification is a degree in physiotherapy as approved by the West Bengal Government.
Social Worker Grade III: Candidates must be Bachelor of Arts/Science or diploma in social welfare and health education holders from a government recognized institution or they must hold a degree in social welfare and health education.
Age requirement:
For both positions, upper age limit is 37 years as on the 1st of January 2011.
Application fee:
Candidates must enclose Indian Postal Order worth Rs.160 along with their application endorsed and crossed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal or by receipted challan from the Government Treasury in the West Bengal or the RBI, Kolkata under the head ‘0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees’. The postal order should be payable at GPO, Kolkata and cash, Bank draft, cheque and MO will not be accepted.
