If you are final year appearing candidate then you are eligible for GATE 2013 Examination. GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Examination and conducted for various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology.

If you have pursuing your B.tech final year course then you can apply for GATE Examination.

The last date of apply for GATE examination online is 30/Sept/2012.

You have to fill the GATE Application form online only and you have to choose the mode of test: Online or Offline.

You have to pay the fees during the ONLINE application process by choosing one of the following options:

=> Online Payment: By Netbanking
=> Challan Payment: Payment by cash at any branch of Canara Bank or State Bank of India.

-> For General/OBC-NC (Male Applicants): Rs 1200
-> For SC / ST / PD (Male Applicants): 600
-> For Female Applicants: No fees.

You have to choose the subject in GATE Examination as per your Interest.

If you are the b.Tech final year student then you can sit in the entrance exam of the gate.
The gate form has been out and you can check it in the site
http://gate.iitk.ac.in/gate2013
first you have to fill the form online and to add your scanned photo and your signature in the form.
After that you have to take out the printout of your form and get signed it by your head of your institution.
Then finally post it to the given adderessed in the site.
The last date of filling the form is the 30th of september 2012.
The exam will be conducted on 10th feburary 2013.

GATE - GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING, is an entrance exam conducted by Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Science for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs, BITS etc.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for final year B.Tech. Engineering Degree exam or pass from a recognised University is eligible to apply for GATE. GATE can be appeared as many as times one can wish as there is no restriction to number of attempts.

The GATE can be applied through on line by paying requisite fee for examination through Net Banking/by cash payment in Canara bank or SBI counter.

The fee for General candidate is Rs.1200.00 while for SC/ST/PD candidate Rs.600.00 and thereis absolutely no fees for examination for all category of Female candidate.

- You should Graduate in Engineering Discipline or Equivalent
B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Sc/BCA/B.Sc with science stream.

---master degree holder in any branch of maths, computer,statistics
