--you can apply for IES offline or online.For offline application get the form from post office and send it to UPSC.

For online application go to the site https://www.upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php

--there are two parts of registration and the links are given there fill in registration form part 1 first by filling in the required details like your name address etc. after this you will get a registration number,note the number.

--After this go to the second part fill in the registration number received in part 1 and your date of birth.Follow the instructions.And your form is filled.

before applying for IES examination(Indian Engineering Service) first read the notification carefully. here i am attaching the notification. otherwise you may download the notification from the website http://www.upsc.gov.in.


if you fulfill all the eligibility criterion then go to the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in for online form fill up for IES examination.

in the website click on IES/ESE then one page will open there will be part I and Part II registration. first click on part I registration then fill up all details. after that you will get one registration id. then go to the Part II registration with the registration id and birth date. if you have to give payment then there are some payment option. give your fees Rs.50/- if you don't have to pay any fees then this page will not come. there are no fees for reserved candidate like SC ST PH etc.

then upload your photo and signature through scan and submit the application form. one email will come to your email address after total submission of your application form.

this is the total procedure for online registration of IES examination. the last date of registration is 7th February, 2011.

The IES exam is conducted the UPSC or the Union Public Seriveci Commission of India.

You can obtain the form online by logging onto:

www.upsconline.nic.in

The cost of the form is Rs.50 for online application.
No fees required to be paid by Females/SC/ST/physically handicapped candidates.

If You intend to pay the fees in Cash you are required to take a print of the pay in slip. You can pay the fees at any branch of the State Bank of India by using the pay-in slip.

The last date for the submission of form is 7th february 2011, which is nearing fast, so you must apply as soon as possible to avoid missing the deadline.
So apply before the last date gets over.

The exam will be held on 14 may 2011 across 3 days.

For any further information log onto:

www.upsc.gov.in

How to Apply for IES(Indian Engineering Service)

IES exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission) every Year.

There are Two ways to apply for IES exam->

• Offline
• Online

The Online application for cost was Rs 50 and Offline form cost was Rs 100.

Offline IES application

-> The application form is availiable in the Designated Post offices in India, So you can obtained form there.

Online IES application

-> To apply online for IES exam visit upsc official website http://upsc.gov.in. There click "Online Examination Application" & then chose exam for which you want to apply then fill the Registration form. Registration has two part as I & II. After completing Part I registration You can download challan form through which you can pay exam fee & complete part II registration....thats all!

To apply for IES exam you must possess following eligibility criteria:

• Your Age must be in between 21-30 years on the first day of august of the year of examination.
  
• You must have completed your Engineering degree year from UGC recognized university/institute. Final year student is also eligible for this exam but last year students are required to produce the proof of passing engineering degree.

Date for next IES Entrance Examination

• The application forms will be available from 18/08/2012.
• The upcoming IES exam 2012, will be conducted from 01/12/2012.

IES Exam Selection Procedure:-

• Written Exam:- Consist of 5 papers of 200 marks each.
• Personality Interview:- If you qualified in written test will be called for personal interview where their personality will be judged, the personality interview will be of 200 marks.
