is 4 months preparation time is enough for IES?

And this type of exam 4 month is not enough because this is a very tough exam. that's why you should start previous because this is not very easy..............

if you want to check your-self then you can give on-line test then you see how much you have done solve question.............

IES exam tests the complete knowledge of the student in the engineering subject for which the students is appearing,
you should have knowledge of even every small and basics things also,
as the exam is for three days and there is both objective and conventional papers nothing is missed from any topic,
you should extensively study the subject,
also i think four month time should be enough if you have don good in your engineering and give ample time for studies in these four months

there need not be a special coach for IES

the syllabus will be similar to GATE so you can take GATE coaching too..

as per your area select the top Institutes for coaching..

utilize your time perfectly..

and

4 months is ok for an above average student..

if you are a merit student i mean 90% student ..

then 4 months is more than enough..

if you are average or below average you have to work hard if you want to crack IES..

First of all there are no exams conducted by the UPSC on the date you have mentioned i.e 26th June.I hope you mean the Indian Engineering Services(IES) which is conducted on 14.05.2011 i.e Saturday.It would have been better if you mentioned the Engineering Group your from.if it's an exam conducted by UPSC then please visit

It depends upon your capability that you whether you can study the entire syllabus of your core subjects right from 1st year to fourth year in 4 months.If you can plan properly then it's not a matter of time.

It's better that you prefer standard books of your core subjects rather than referring websites for online coaching.You can prefer websites for downloading question paper's of previous years.Just prepare a time table for daily preparation and utilize time in a proper way so that you score well in the exams.Doing these two things can make you sure of going through the exams.

$ months are sufficient for IES preparation if and only if you are clear with all your concepts from your engineering career just you need to solve a lot of questions during the 4 months and some sample papers.

i think there is no online coaching center for IES(Indian Engineering Services). if you want to take admission in any coaching institution then you have to go for offline admission, IES academy provide good coaching for IES examination preparation. you may also subscribe only the study material through postal.



yea 4 months is sufficient to be prepare for IES examination. but you must have knowledge in your branch of engineering. this is not an easy examination. specially the descriptive question parts are very difficult. to answer these question you should have enough knowledge in the subject.


but don't worry as you are engineering students so if you try before four months you can cover whole syllabus of IES examination.


to be prepare for IES examination first cover whole syllabus from text book or book in which each topic is written well. after that buy book from market for IES examination and solve them attentively. solve few model question paper. go through the previous year paper to make an idea about the question standard.

I am graduate in BA Stream
I decided to give the examination of upsc for next year
I am new for all those Upsc field, I looked the upsc portal side giving information that side,
I have question in prelims & main exam how to choose of appropriate optional subject & is that study of all subject for of what syllabus mentioned in prelims.
I will choose history & politics for optional subject in main exam.
Please any one help me. I am confused of upsc. Please provided right books information of suitable for study.

sudha ............. i would like to suggest u... there is no coaching institute which.. taken online... above institute are provide online test series only...even i was searching online coarse... becoz no such institute in mumbai.... so what i plan... i go for GATE. syllabus of gate and ies is almost same.... GATEFORUM is the class which provide online lect.... i had joined it... its gud coaching.... and by that u can apply for IES... for general study like civix and history etc... go for "GATE MAGIC"coaching institute...and your syllabus for IES will complete... total duration of coarse is 1 year.. after that u need to study atleast 2 years... thorouglly....

Yes 4 months preparation is enough you have to revise all basics and practice for previous year papers.
There are a lot coaching centre for this exam but i think made easy is the best coaching center so you can join it and prepare hard for the examination.
