Can Computer Science Engineer apply for IES,2012 exam and what is the last date of form submission and please tell about the fee structure of IES exam.

IES Stands for Engineering Services examination and this Examination is conducted by the UPSC every year for the recruitment to the four categories of engineering services :

>> Civil Engineering
>> Mechanical Engineering
>> Electrical Engineering
>> Electronics & telecommunication Engineering.

So, Those who have completed his Engineering degree course in any one of the discipline are eligible to apply for IES Examination. Final year Engineering graduate candidates are also apply for IES Examination.

To apply for IES Examination, you have to complete your Engineering graduate degree course and your age should between 21 to 30 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

There is No Restrictions in Number of Attempts in IES 2012 Examination.

The Notification of IES Examination will be Published in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Website in the Month of February.

For Next year examination schedule was already availiable in the UPSC Website and the Notification of IES Examination will be Published on 25/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for IES Examination 26/March/2012 and the Examination will be held on 15/June/2012.

IES entrance test or Indian Engineering Services entrance exam is designed for recruitment of engineers in government services.

IES Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

1) Age Limit:- 21-30 years on the first day of august of the year of examination.


2) Educational Qualifications:-

Applicable for the engineering graduates who have already completed or who are in last year. but last year students are required to produce the proof of passing engineering degree.

IES Exam Selection Procedure:-

1) Written Exam:- Consist of 5 papers of 200 marks each.

2) Personality Interview: who have qualified in written test will be called for personal interview where their personality will be judged, the personality interview will be of 200 marks.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IES EXAM

Computer Science Engineer are not eligible for IES exam.

IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

The Notification was published in the month of January or February in Official website or employment news papers.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

If you are from different departments then also you are eligible but you should take one of the above departments as exam.

No, CSE students are not eligible for IES-(ESE) exam
only
mechnical,civil,electrical,ECE candidate are alone eligible for IES examination

It doesnt matter if you have done CSE or any other Bachelors course... You need to have a degree.. that's it/////

M I ELIGIBLE FOR IES EXAM MY DISIPLNE IS COMP.Sc.ENGG?

CSE students are not eligible for Indian Engineering Service exam.Only the candidate who have completed minimum B.Tech course in Mechanical/Civil/Electronic and Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering are eligible for IES exam.And their age should also between 21 to 30 years.

Indian Engineering Service exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once to take qualified students into different engineering post in government sector.

IES exam notification will release on February every year and Exam will held on June month every year.

The eligibility criteria for IES Exam is as follows:

Age limits:

21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination. (Upper age limit relax able for SCs/Sts, OBCs and certain other categories ).


Educational Qualifications:

A degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent. M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Services/posts only.
Candidates appearing at their engineering degree or equivalent examination are also eligible to compete. Candidates qualifying on the result of the written part of the Examination will be required to submit the proof of passing the requisite examination along with their detailed application form to be filled up at that stage.
