The minimum qualification is a degree from a recognised university. The different states in India conduct examinations through their service commission boards. You will have to appear for the same. There will be a physical test also which you need to clear. On completion of these extensive training will be given by the police academy of the state. The jobs involve maintaining law and order, traffic, resolving crime and protection of VIPs and civilians. This carries a lot of power and respect. The candidate should have the service of the country in mind always.
