I want to know what is the eligibility criteria and which exam one has to take to become an ADO? what is the pay scale of an ADO?

The candidate who wishes to become ADO has to write the exam conducted for the purpose by State Public Service Commission.

The eligibility criteria required to become an Agriculture Development Officer are as under :-

-The candidate must have completed Bachelor of Science in Agriculture/Agricultural Engineering.

-The candidate upper age limit to apply for the ADO post is 40 years .

-The candidate appointed as ADO receives salary of pay band of Rs.5200-20200 with GP of Rs.2800.

What is the study material for the preperation of the exam of ADO

can a bsc agriculture student with hindi medium background apply for Agriculture development officer ?

Educational Qualification:-------

Candidates should be completed Degree in B.Sc (Agriculture) with 60% marks, from a recognized University or Institution.

Provided that Preference shall be given to a person, who possesses a degree in M.Sc. (Agriculture), from a recognized University or Institution.

Age Limit:-----

The age limit should be between 18 to 37 years.

Upper age limit for States/Central Government employees: 45 years.

Upper age limit for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab: 42 years.

Upper age limit for Physically Handicapped of Punjab: 47 years

I want to an ADO. I complet 12th with pure science. What can I do now?? Please tell?

The process required is : First, get admission in B.Sc. Agr programme in some Agricultural College/ University It will be more rewarding if you get P.G. degree in Agri and then look for a job suiting your qualifications. By competing with others, based on your merit, you may get the job of AD Officer direct or first entry as Inspector and subsequently promotion to ADO in the Agr. department
