After passing 12th with Non-medical stream you have to qualify the entrance exam like:- > I.I.T-J.E.E > I.S.AT > A.I.E.E.E > S.R.M.E.E.E etc For Aeronautical engineering you have to qualify 12th with minimum 50% marks(For I.I.T minimum 60% marks) 5% relaxations given to S.T/SC candidate. Top college offering Aeronautical Engineering are:- Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Mumbai Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai Hindustan Inst of Engineering Technology, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering |

Re: How to become an astronaut after passing 12th?
How to reach your goal
Step 1: You need to take up science after Class 10 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. Step 2: Do your bachelors in either Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Aerospace Engineering Step 3: You have to achieve good grades in your undergraduate degree so that you can do your postgraduate and eventually a doctorate. Step 4: To be a mission specialist you also require 3 years of related and progressively responsible professional experience. Step 5: After graduation, you can appear for the entrance exam which is held by the NASA for the recruitment of Scientists and Astronauts. |
