Indian Police Service entrance exam is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services examination every year once.There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.This exam not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree .

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
Also you must be citizen of India.

You must be medically and physically fit for IPS recruitment .

So if you have fulfill the above given criteria then you can apply for IPS Exam through Civil Service Exam by online or offline mode.

Yes you can become a IAS Officer one of the most reputed exam of the country and for the post you have to write the civil services exam and the exam is conducted by the upsc department every year and if you want to join it than you have to clear the exam ..

To become an IPS Officer you have to clear the UPSC Civil Services Exams.

UPSC conducts the CSE every year to make recruitments to 24 posts/services.

The Educational qualification required is Graduation in any discipline from

a UGC recognised University or equivalent.

Graduation from a recognised University through Distance learning is acceptable qualification to appear in the CSE.

Age limit in general category is 21-30yrs,OBC 21-33yrs and SC/ST 21-35yrs.

No.of attempts allowed is 4 times for general category,7 times for OBC and Unlimited attempts for SC/ST candidates.
