IPS stands for Indian Police service.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Bachelor degree from recognized university are applicable for IPS Exam.Final year student are applicable for IPS Exam.

Your age should be in between 21-30 years for general candidate.

IPS exam is consist of 3 process - Preliminary Exam . Mains Exam and Personal Interview .

From my point of view you should take any coaching center for IPS exam preparation because this exam is one of the toughest exam in India .

For joining this service you have to go through the all the different stages of the Civil services examinations.

In order to become IPS officer,first of all you need to become eligible for the Civil services and then apply for the exam at www.upsconline.nic.in and then give the different stages that are :

>>Preliminary test

>>Main examination and personal interview and clear all the stages the only you will become an IPS officer.

The eligibility criteria for the exam is :
