I am B.E in biotechnology and i want to built my carrer in forensic sciences. plz tell me whether i am eligible for masters in forensic sciences and also about the institutes offering masters in forensic sciences.

In order to pursue a career in forensic science, you should have done Bsc in forensic science, it is written that for applying for PG courses:-

> To take up a masters course in forensic science you should be a graduate preferably with a first division in Physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, biochemistry, microbiology, B.pharm, BDS or applied science.

Although applied science involves application of the existing scientific knowledge to develop more practical applications,as in case of biotechnology, to produce genes and many vaccines, it can be also under applied science.

Is there course in forensic chemistry? Like MPhil or PhD after having MSC in chemistry?

Any student who has studied completed graduation in (Physics/bio/chemistry/Zoology/botany/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Applied Medical Sciences/Biotechnology)/ engineering / pharmacy/medicine/BDS is eligible for admission. Percentage in last qualified exam (graduation) required for admission in Msc may vary university to university(45%–60%). In reputed institutes admission is through entrance exam where as in other institutes you can take direct admission.
