sir, i have completed my 12th.Now i want to become a agent of raw i am also serving in defence force as a soldier. Please tell me which degree i have to complete and what test i have to qualify and tell me the complete procedure for it. RAW stands for Research and Analysis Wing. It is an intelligence agency under ministry of defense for which no provision for direct recruitment .The candidates for RAW are selected from military and paramilitary forces who have excellent and extraordinary service record.
The selected candidate has to go through severe tough training.Candidates are required to be mentally alert, have analytical brain, able to adapt according to circumstances, able to travel long distances etc.

One who wishes to join RAW has to first get recruited in Indian army or civil services.

One can join Indian civil department as an IPS officer to get into RAW .For this post the candidate has to apply for the CSAT exam (Civil Service Aptitude Test) and clear this exam to become IPS. The chances of joining the RAW department is more after becoming the IPS officer .

The eligibility criteria required for civil services exam are as under:-

-The candidate should be an Indian.

-The candidate should have completed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

-The age limit to apply for the exam is from 21 years to 30 years for general category.There is relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Another option to get into RAW is to go for CDSE(Common Defense Services Exam) or NDA exam. UPSC conducts these exams every year to recruit personnel in the different wings of Indian Army. The candidate has to make a good career in this field to have a chance to join in the RAW.

One can join Indian Army through NDA or CDS exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligibility criteria required for NDA exam are as under:-

-The candidate must be a citizen of India.

-The age limit for the candidate is 16.5 years to 19 years.

-Only unmarried male candidate can apply for the exam.

-The qualification required to join NDA is 12th class of 10+2 education system from a recognized board for Indian Military Academy and 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics for Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

The eligibility criteria for CDS exam are as under:-

-The candidate must be an Indian.

-The qualification required for Indian Military Academy/Officer's Training Academy is Graduation in any discipline,Bachelor of Engineering for Indian Naval Academy and 10+2 level degree with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering for Indian Air Force Academy.

-The candidate age should be in between 19 years to 25 years.

There is no direct recruitment for RAW after 12th. They appoint the candidates who have qualified UPSC and working in IFS, IPS, IAS or army officer. So, its better for you to join a bachelor degree which will help you to clear UPSC exam.
