You can become a Commercial pilot, if you have these requirements:
  • You must have passed 10+2 from PCM stream with at least 50% percentage.
  • You must have at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have Physics and Mathematics subject in their 10+2.

Apart from these eligibility criteria, you must have:
  • A perfect eyesight
  • A good familiarity with aeronautical machines
  • Fluency in English

Commercial Pilot Training institute requires an entrance exam to be qualified.

These entrance exams comprises of three stages i.e.
  • Written Exam (contains General Knowledge, Maths, English)
  • Interview
  • Mental Balance, Situation Handling, Medical Test

Merit List will be generated and on its basis, you will be selected for training.

There are following top Commercial Pilot training institutes in India:
  • Government Aviation Training Institute, Bhubaneswar
  • Coimbatore Flying Club, Coimbatore
  • Indian Aviation Academy, Mumbai
  • Co-operative Flying Club Ltd, Jamshedpur
  • All India Institute of Aeronautics, (AIIA), Dehradun
  • Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy, Secunderabad
  • Ahmedabad Aviation and Aeronautics, Ahmedabad
  • Government Flying Training School, Bangalore
