i want to do lb after my graduation plz suggest me how can i do the same and the eligibility criteria for doin llb with specialisation in corporate law . which enterance exam i need to prepare for doin llb.

The procedure of LLB is quite simple. Once you complete the graduation course apply for the 3 year LLB course which is offered by various colleges. While some conducts entrance exam, others offer admission purely on the basis of merit.


However if you want the focus to be on Corporate Law then I will suggest that instead of LLB, you should consider Company Secretary course. Because this is the course which focuses on the corporate law.


The job responsibility of Company Secretary is to ensure that company and the board of directors are following rules and regulations set by the government of India. In case of a showdown between company and the government agencies, Company Secretary plays the role of mediator.


Company Secretary also implements the policies of the board of directors and meet the shareholders on the behalf of the company. Due to such responsibilities, the focus of Company Secretary course is towards the corporate law.


Therefore I will advice you to pursue Company Secretary. However if you can do both CS+LLB then it would be awesome. LLB+CS is considered as killer combination and it will open more jobs for you. The jobs would be better what you can get after completing one of these courses.


A lot of candidates pursue LLB and CS together. If you can't do that then I will suggest you to first complete LLB and then apply for Company Secretary.



LLB Eligibility

1. A graduation degree from a recognized university.

2. A minimum of 45 percent marks in graduation are required.

3. SC/ST candidates need 40 percent marks

4. The age limit for LLB course is 30 years.

5. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.



CS Eligiblity

Since you have completed graduation, you can take direct admission in the second stage of the Company Secretary course which is called "Intermediate Course". There is no age limit to apply for CS.

7. Governance , Business Ethics and Sustainability

8. Financial , Treasury , Forex Management

Any Law aspirant’s merit is assessed through a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted by the CLAT Committee. At least you need to have cleared Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) in any stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. The entrance exams will have a paper of 90 minutes containing 150 questions from the following sections English: 35 questions, General Knowledge/Current Affairs: 35 questions, Mathematics: 10 questions, Legal Aptitude: 35 questions, Logical Reasoning: 35 questions. After completion of BA LLB, you can assist senior advocates, take up job in law firms and also apply for the judicial services.
