M.Tech stands for Master of Technology. Admission of candidates in Master of Technology is done on basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering score card. GATE is an entrance examination conducted by IIT or IISC for admission of candidates in Master of Technology in top recognized institutes of India like IIT, NITs and other government engineering colleges.

Eligibility criteria for M.Tech:

>>Candidates must have done bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university. Final year candidates of engineering can also apply for examination.

GATE is online computer based test. Your GATE rank will decide in which college you will get admission for Master of Technology.
