To get admission in the M.Tech course, you need to appear for the GATE exam.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The GATE exam is counducted by the council of seven IIT's for the students who wanted to get admission in the M.Tech course.

To score good marks in GATE exam, you need to prepare well by taking coaching from the institutes.

As presently you are in third year, it is best to take GATE coaching from now, so that you will have more time to prepare and perform well in the GATE exam.
