How can I join crime branch? I have completed MBA and working in financial stream
Hi, I am a mumbai resident aged 30 years (02-12-1982). I have already completed my MBA and working in financial stream. I want to join crime branch, mumbai. Please if you can help me with the requirement and eligibility for the same

After completion of your MBA, You can apply for IPS through UPSC to join crime branch.
Eligibility For CID Officer - You must be a citizen of India - You must have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. - Your age must be between 21 to 32 years. Relaxation applicable 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST. - Maximum Allowable Attempts : 4 for General, 7 for OBC and No Limit for SC/ST. Selection - Written Test - Physical Test - Interview Physical Requirement - Height : At least 165 cms for Men and 150 cms for Women - Chest : 76 cms with expansion for Men - Eye Vision : Distant - 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in another eye. Near - 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in another eye. Syllabus of Written Exam - General Intelligence - Reasoning - General Awareness - Numerical Aptitude - English Comprehension Ranks In Crime Branch - Additional Director General of Police - Inspector General of Police - DIG - SP - DSP - Inspector - Superintendent - Sub-Inspector - Assistant Sub-Inspector - Constable |
