Now im a 2nd year b-tec stundent.how can i join in "INDIAN AIRFORCE"?

A B.tech complete candidate is eligible for Indian Airforce through CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam which is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year.


Eligibility details:-

For Indian Airforce:
The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 23 years.

No age relaxation.

Indian Naval academy:-
The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 22 years,

No relaxation in age.


Indian Military academy:-
The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 24 years,

No age relaxation.

Officer Training academy:-

The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.

The age limits are 19 years to 25 years.

No relaxation in age.


Nationality:-

Applicant must be a citizen of India,

Or

A subject of Bhutan,

Or

A subject of nepal,

Or

A tibetian refugee who came over India permanently.


Selection process:-

Written exam,

Personal interview,

Medical test.

Only who have completed graduation can appear for the CDS exam. Combined Defence Services examination or CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for selection in Indian Army,Indian Air Fore and Indian Navy. So you are completed B.Tech so you have to crack the CDS exam to join in Indian Air Force.

CDS exam details:

CDS exam has four wings:

1.Indian Naval Academy
2.Indian Air force Academy
3.Indian Military Academy
4.Officer Training Academy

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

IMA & Officer's Training Academy :

Any Degree from a Recognized University or Equivalent

Indian Naval Academy :

Degree in Engineering or B.Sc with Physics or Maths

Air Force Academy :

Degree from a recognized University & complete 12th stands with Physics & Maths

Final year exam appearing students may also eligible to apply.

There is no percentage restrictions for this exam.

Gender:

Male and Female both are eligible for this exam.

Nationality:

Candidates must be citizen of India.

Age limit:

For Indian naval academy==> 19 to 22years,

For Indian airforce academy==> 19 to 23 years,

For Indian military academy==> 19 to 24 years,

For medicser training academy==> 19 to 25 years.

**There is No age relaxation.

After Passing B.Tech. Indian Air Force can be joined through CDS and AFCAT entrance exam.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted twice every year by UPSC to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Acadey, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The eligible candidate aspiring for Indian Air Force of CDS, must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years with good Physical and Mental health.

AFCAT - Air Force Common Admission Test conducted every year by IAF for selection of officers in Flying/Technical/Ground Duty branch.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried National having completed Graduation Degree/B.Tech. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% marks from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years for Flying Branch, 18 to 28 years for Technical Branch, can apply for AFCAT.

Join Indian Air Force After B.Tech

After completion of B.Tech you have 2 options with you for joining the Air Force..

You can go for either the Combined Defence Services (CDS) or the AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test)

For CDS :-

1) You must have completed graduation in any stream but from a recognized institute or University..

2) You should be within the range of 19 years to 23 years for joining the Air Force Academy..

2) You should have also secured an aggregate of 60% in your B.Tech..

Being a 2nd year student of B.Tech Not eligible to join Air Force but, it is the best time to prepare for the The entrance exam exam which is going to be conduct for joining the Air force......!!!!

There are mainly two Entrance exam which can leas you to the Air Force wings are AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) and CDS (Combined Defense Service) both the exam are conducted for the Recruitment in the Indian Defense Service, AFCAT Specially for the Air Force Wings only....

• Technical - 18 to 28 years.
• Ground Duty - 20 to 25 years.

Now i'm a 2nd year b.tech student.how can i join in "INDIAN AIRFORCE"?

No friend you are NOT ELIGIBLE for joining the indian Air Force now itself but it will be possible after completing your b.tech.You need to write the CDS exam and for
writing the CDS exam conducted by the Union Public Service only who have completed graduation will be eligible.

CDS is for selection of candidates in
1)Indian Army.
2)Indian Air Fore and
3)Indian Navy.

Since you want to join AirForce you can join but apply for the CDS exam after completion of your btech.Even don't worry if you even have percentage less than 60 also because there is no percentage requirement for writing the CDS exam.

At present you are in second year of engineering ,so you are not eligible for any entrance exam that will provide you opportunity to join air force.

But when you will be in final year of engineering ,you can go for the following entrance exam to join Air force:

1.Combined defense services :

>>It is conducted twice every year by the UPSC.

>>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with mathematics and physics at 10+2 level is compulsory for the Air force academy.

>>The age limit is 19-23 years.

>>You must be an Indian citizen.

>>Both unmarried male and female candidates can apply for the exam.

>>Physical fitness is necessary.
