Marine engineering deals with the nautical architecture and science. Marine engineering basically is meant for research conducted in oceans and coastal or inland waters connected to the sea.As a Marine engineers you will have the entire responsibility of the ship's technical management.

To become a mechanical engineer you can either go for diploma course in marine engineering after 10th or 12th which is a 3 year course or you can go for a complete 4 year B.tech course in Marine engineering.

For B.tech course you have to give entrance test for taking admission in engineering colleges offering marine engineering. You can give following tests:

1. JEE MAINS
2. WGJEE
3. MHCET
4. Entrance tests conduted by private colleges.

Marine engineering is one of the top most career choices made by students in India because of its interesting work profile and high salary package. There are a lot of career opportunities in this field.You can work as:

1. Marine engineers
2. Ocean engineers
3. Naval architects

in the private, educational, corporate, and governmental sectors.
