It is not that you should have prior Accounting knowledge in order to join MBA Accounts.

You can learn the accounting concepts even in MBA too. But the thing is basics of accounting may or may not be there at MBA level.

It is not a difficult thing to understand Accounts. If you put your best efforts for 1 month, you will be strong enough with all the accounting terminology and accounting concepts.

There are many of the candidates who have studied Life Sciences till Graduation and opted for MBA Finance and Accounts and doing jobs now.

All those candidates are also new to Accounts like you. But they got succeeded. So, you don't need to worry about this.

Get Coaching from an experienced faculty so that you will easily understand the concepts.

In order to join MBA course, here is the eligibility criteria.

You should have completed your Graduation with a minimum of 50% of marks.
Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates of SC or ST category.

The duration of MBA course is 2 years.

The first year of MBA course will be common for all the candidates. But in the second year, the candidates have to opt for specializations.

Some colleges will offer single specialization and some other colleges will offer dual specializations for the candidates.

Some of the popular specializations will be
MBA in Finance
MBA in Accounting
MBA in Marketing Management
MBA in Human Resource Management

You can choose the one which you are interested.

Wish you all the best.
