i m interested in getting admission in NIFT , so plz suggest me how to get admission into it?

It is not clear which course you are planning to join. There are basically two types of Bachelors courses offered by the institute. One is course in designing for which you need to have completed your 12th from a recognized institute. Another course offered is a course in Technology for which in your 12th standard you should have pursued Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There are also Masters course offered by the institute.

in many institute you can directly apply for admission , but it it better to clear entrance exam first and then go for admission for highly technical college ............ have a nice future........

The application form is available from November 2010 to January 2011. The written exam will be in the 20th February 2011. Candidates can get hold of the prospectus and application form from selected Axis and IDBI bank by paying Rs. 250/-. You can get more information from the official website.

so just like the iit there is also an entrance test in the nift.
which is given after class 12th board....
the exam is generally held in the month of february .......
the form is available online and even in the form centre so u can get it from there and fill it up and then send it..
the form is available from the month of november....

NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology. If you have an nclination towards fashion and keeping yourself updated about everything new and fashionable in town then you should definitely go for this course. You can give this exam if you want to do bachelor's program and master's program in fashion.

Following seats are kept reserved:-

• SC:- 15%
• ST:- 15%
• OBC (Non-creamy):- 27%
• Physically Handicapped:- 3%
• Foreign Nationals:- 15%
• State Domiciles:- 20%

If you want to do B.Des in Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design and Fashion Communication then you need to to pass higher secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized institution. The subject combination at 10+2 level does not matters.

For a bachelor's degree in fashion technology you have to do a bachelor's degree in fashion technology then you need to have physics, chemistry and mathematics at 10+2 level. This B.FTech degree can be attained on Apparel Production.

NIFT Entrance Test:-

There are two tests in the first stage:

## General Ability Test (GAT) for all courses

## Creative Ability Test (CAT) for design course

(OR)

## Managerial Ability Test (MAT) for apparel production, management and technology courses.

Stress on the following sections for GAT Exam:-

• Quantitative Ability
• Communication Ability
• English Comprehension
• Business Domain Test
• Analytical Ability

You can get admission in NIFT, only after qualifying the entrance exam, conducted by NIFT for admission in the courses offered by it.

Eligibility for Bachelor’s course n NIFT ~~

For Bachelor in Design –

You should be 12th pass from any recognised board.

For Bachelor of Fashion Technology-

You should be 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry and Maths, from a recognised board.

You should be 23 years old as on 1st November of the year of examination.
