i am a final year student of BE.I want to do fashion technology.please suggest i am applicable or not? if yes then which course should i take?

U can do fashion technolofy as 1 year diplomo courses.... Out of ur passion,u can do this... Y dont u try for MBA? There are lot of job oppurtunities....

Yes, you are eligible. But, i think doing MBA is much better option to study.

You can opt for Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Designing it deals both with theory and practicals. Lenin Institute of Fashion Technology provide this course.

This is regarding admission to the Post Graduate course, Masters of design in NIFT. I have completed my computer engineering course this year.
I would like to know if i am eligible for this course? I noticed that " Graduation degree from a recognized University in any discipline" is also a criteria for the same.
Also, its mentioned that such applicants must undergo a compulsary 2 month training for . I would like to know if this after gettin the admission
or before? and How is this done?
I would be really grateful and it would be very kind if my doubts could be cleared. As accordingly, i can decide before the last date for applying.Thanks in advance.

But under the FAQ in the main NIFT site, it is mentioned that "Graduation degree from a recognized University in any discipline" as an eligibility criteria for Masters of design and hence the confusion.
Also some where else i read that from this year onwards they are allowing the same.

Yes of course you are eligible but since you are a B.E student can try to do with your sector and if you are very much interested towards fashion technology could very well join and excel in that field.

No an engineer grad is not eligibile. see they had taken a lot of normal graduates in the first year of inception of the course but they realised it was very difficult to talk about design as a lot of them had no grounding / foundation of design. Therefore now they only allow certain graduates as given in one of the repleis above

it is better to go for master of design for you,however 1 year diploma is also not bad.

If you give a call or go to the nearest NIFT college you will realise that they do not take others. Go to the following link on the NIFT site:

They do say one thing but that if you do a 1 year design diploma course from NIFT, then you might be eligible.

yes you are eligible for fashion designing.but why do want to join fashion designing.if you are interested then you can do after b.tech .i just suggest you that go for campus placements and you can do anything after good job.

yes you are eligible for doing fashion technology and for that you have to appear for NIFT exam and after clearing this you can get admission in any of the college providing fashion technology courses.....

i do not understand your question
because you are BE so you have bachelor degree then
why are you want to be a fashion designer ....
in my opinion may be some institute offer you post graduate
course ....like NIFT,IIFT,....
but its not good for you because
fashion ,glamour is good when you listening ..
but industry is not easy
you are BE so in job may be you
face alot of problem so think ,
about matter then you
take decision....

if you want to do diploma courses which is 1 year duration..
and you can also go for degree courses..
by applying..in N I F T..

Yes you are definitely eligible for NIFT after your BE however you won't get a platform for implementing your technical skills gained from BE .
But if you are eager for it then you can join .
